NOTE: Due to the winter storm anticipated to blanket our region this weekend, we have made a change to our weekend Mass schedule: There will be NO morning Mass here on Sunday, January 25. Instead, Mass WILL be celebrated at 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 24. We welcome our Residents’ family members and friends to join us on Saturday afternoon, just in time to get home to stay safe and warm for the storm.

We’ll keep the good times rolling with our January Birthday Bash over lunch (11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.) on Friday, January 23, in the dining room. This month will feature live music by Jerry C.

Things get pretty competitive when we gather in the Marian Hall Second-Floor Lounge each Wednesday afternoon for Wii Bowling. Residents use a motion-activated controller to play virtual games of bowling on our Wii video game system. Not only do we have a blast, but it’s also good exercise!

Sister Georgette Dublino visits Mt. Assisi Place each Tuesday to share scripture, music and reflection with our Residents who wish to deepen their spirituality. All are welcome.

The St. Andrew Kim Youth Trio will bring their special brand of classical music to our Main Chapel at 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, January 11. The trio is made up of three young musicians who live in Robinson Township and attend local schools. All are members of Archangel Gabriel Parish, and the trio is named for St. Anthony Kim Taegon, the first Catholic saint from Korea. The boys are are directed by their mother, a pianist and organist at Point Park University.

Residents interested in writing, reading and listening to poetry can join “The Poetry Man” John Conte in the dining room (right side) for a time of creative sharing. The group usually meets on the first Friday of each month.
